ARNOLDS KEYS TOPS THE LEAGUE OF COMMERCIAL PROPERTY DEALS DONE IN 2021

Published 19 January 2022

Independent Norfolk-based property services firm Arnolds Keys has been named the county’s top commercial property deal-maker in 2021 by leading industry publication EGI (Estates Gazette), with the firm topping the ‘deals done’ league table both in terms of number of deals and space transacted.

The EGI leaderboard records that in 2021, Arnolds Keys has acted on 68 freehold and leasehold transactions totalling 281,375 sq ft, some way ahead of its nearest rival.

The figures were revealed by the EGI Radius On-Demand rankings, which provides a snapshot view of the latest commercial property deals and which agents are landing them across the UK.

The survey shows that Arnolds Keys’ largest deal during the year was the disposal of 91,681 sq ft of warehousing at the Shipdham Airfield Industrial Estate.

Arnolds Keys managing partner Guy Gowing, who heads up the firm’s commercial property team, commented, “This is the most accurate and up-to-date barometer of commercial property deals in the UK, and we are delighted, but not surprised, to be heading the list for Norfolk.

“The outstanding team at Arnolds Keys has gone the extra mile during challenging times.  2021 proved to be a busy year for commercial property deals, particularly in the industrial and warehousing sector, and this bodes well for the county’s economic recovery from the Covid pandemic.  Increased commercial property deal activity invariably means more economic activity and the creation of more jobs – which can only be good news for Norfolk.

“Norfolk’s time has certainly arrived.  Whilst for many years we have looked enviably down the A11 to Cambridge, there is now considerable investment in the area by both existing companies and new arrivals to capitalise on the positive attributes of the area, such as enhanced connections by road, rail, air and sea, open space and low density of development compared to the home counties, the skilled pool of employees, and the availability of land and buildings for employment and housing.”

The EGI Top Five rankings for 2021 were as follows:
