‘MONUMENTAL’ VALUATIONS UNDERTAKEN DURING PAST YEAR

Statue Gybsons ConduitArnolds Keys’ role as leading regional commercial property experts has been underlined by some astonishing figures which show that the team carried out over £54 million of property valuations in the last financial year across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

As well as the expected offices, retail premises and industrial buildings, some of the more unusual valuations included a fire station, a pet crematorium, a distillery and even a statue (something of a monumental valuation, perhaps?).

44% of the valuations were for industrial units, with 16% office buildings and 14% retail premises.  Properties housing medical organisations such as GP surgeries and dental practices made up seven per cent of the valuations.

The biggest single valuations was a building in North Walsham which was valued at £2.4 million.

“Giving an accurate assessment of a property’s market value is a complex task, which it is essential to get right,” said partner Nick Williams.  “Whether it is for insurance purposes, to support a financing bid, or as part of a sale or acquisition, a thorough knowledge and experience of the market is vital to land on a fair and accurate figure.”
