It was a pleasure to attend the 45th Norfolk Farm Business Competition Farm Tour and Presentation Evening at Manor Farm, Salle, kindly hosted by The White Family and Salle Farms Co.
A sincere thank you to Andrew Peal for the invitation and for an informative and engaging tour of the estate. The evening provided a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the exciting projects and long-term initiatives taking place across both Salle Farms and the Heydon Estate.
From ongoing investment in the rural economy to the continued focus on innovation, sustainability and responsible land management, it was encouraging to see first-hand the forward-thinking approach being adopted by these well-respected Norfolk estates. Their commitment to balancing commercial success with environmental stewardship highlights the strength and resilience of the county’s agricultural sector.
The evening also celebrated the achievements of those taking part in the Norfolk Farm Business Competition, with awards presented to businesses and individuals demonstrating excellence across a range of farming disciplines. Congratulations to all the winners and entrants. The standard on display reflected the hard work, dedication and adaptability that continue to drive the industry forward, often in the face of significant challenges.
Events such as this are an important reminder of the vital role agriculture plays within Norfolk’s economy and communities. They provide an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, networking and recognising best practice, while also bringing together farmers, landowners, rural professionals and businesses with a shared interest in supporting the future of the sector.
Thank you to everyone involved in organising a fantastic evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate success, learn more about some of Norfolk’s leading rural enterprises, and connect with others who are passionate about the future of agriculture in our region.
