  • Our Roots

    Arnolds Keys traces its roots back to 1860 with the founding of rural property specialists ‘Irelands’, quickly becoming a leading agent within the agricultural community.

    Meanwhile, Arnolds was established in 1905 by Harry Arnold as a firm of loss adjusters and soon expanded into residential property sales.

    In the 1950’s, the firm welcomed Gordon Hockley, an RAF pilot, turned Chartered Surveyor, who was the first of many qualified professionals to join the team. In 1953, Geoffrey Key launched G.A. Key, renowned for its auction and residential property expertise across North Norfolk.

  • Into the late 20th Century

    The late 1980’s brought significant changes to the property profession. Irelands became part of the Prudential in 1986 but was brought back under management in 1992.

    Meanwhile, Arnolds Son & Hockley joined Norwich & Peterborough in 1989, ultimately leading to its own management buyout in 1993.

  • The Modern Arnolds Keys

    Over two transformative years beginning in 2012, the foundations of our current business were laid. Arnolds and G.A. Key merged, creating Arnolds Keys and offering a full suite of commercial and residential services.

    The exciting expansion continued in 2014 with the integration of Irelands, adding expertise in rural and agricultural property and resulting in the well rounded Arnolds Keys of today.
